Teaching Locations

   Most of our teaching takes place in the local schools from May through to September and then November to March.

Rajaprajanukroh 14th School, Nong Khai.

   We also assist local English camps that are held in October, March, April, and May. Bring your musical instruments and song book for the campfires! Part of your application fee goes towards providing activities and events for the local orphanages and children's homes and you will help run these activities with our local staff.

   Volunteers also take part in the many activities run at the local campus of Khon Kaen University.

Nong Khai Boat Institution

   A recent addition to our participating schools wanting volunteer teachers is the Nong Khai College of Boat Building, Industry & Technology. This establishment is located right on the bank of the Mekong River next to the Thai Laos Friendship Bridge. The college teaches 16 to 18 year olds the art of boat building in both modern and traditional ways and also provides regular English classes for the students. Volunteers working here will also have the opportunity to explore the Mekong River by boat.

James Business Administration College

   James Business Administration College (jbac.ac.th) provides instructions in computer science, accounting, business administration, and foreign languages (with emphasis in English and Japanese). The campus at the edge of town is newly built, with fully-equipped state-of-the-art computer rooms and an elaborate language laboratory. Volunteers will assist the local teachers in the English language program.
